Blouses are an acoustic duo consisting of Lauren Sumner and Bryan Wolf. Lauren Sumner began singing at a young age, inspired by the blues records that were always playing in her home. She was a solo acoustic act for 8 years before forming Blouses. Bryan began playing guitar at 13 years old once he was introduced to classic rock groups such as AC/DC and Led Zeppelin. He was a local act playing in various groups around Maryland before forming Blouses.
The pair met online and had their first date at an open mic Bryan was hosting in Sandy Spring, MD. From there the two immediately formed Blouses (a name inspired by their love of Prince and Dave Chapelle). Their set includes covers from the pop music of the 60’s - Today. One moment you are singing along to the chorus of Proud Mary and a minute later you are dancing along to Beyoncé’s new song Bodyguard! Original songs are sprinkled in as well. Our mission is to get people involved, singing and dancing!
